Brooke Growden, RP(Q), Supervised Practice

Picture
Life is unpredictable, and the ebbs and flows of change can be challenging to negotiate alone. When navigating the waters of our human experience, a therapist can offer a safe and supportive space for you to explore your inner wisdom and resources. It takes courage to step into the healing journey of therapy. Brooke understands the vulnerability of self-growth firsthand, as her own personal experiences with the therapeutic process have been healing and transformative as she navigated profound life change.

Brooke (she/her) is a Registered Psychotherapist-Qualifying, practicum intern student. She is currently completing her Master of Arts (MA) in Counselling Psychology. Brooke has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Education, and a Master of Education (MEd). She draws on her experiences as an academic and educator to support her counselling practice.

Brooke views the therapeutic process from a number of theoretical lenses including Psychodynamic, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Ethic of Care, Feminist Theory, Self-Determination Theory, and Holistic Theory. As your witness and guide, Brooke will walk with you as you nurture your path to healing and wellness. When working with Brooke your journey will be supported in a space of non-judgement, validation, empathy, and compassion.

Brooke spends her summers at the beach and her winters by her woodstove. When she isn’t mothering her two active boys—yoga, cross country skiing, and reading are where she turns for self-care and relaxation.
